Welcome to the first ever blog post from The Lila at Oak Gate! We decided to create this blog to keep Vance Jackson apartments residents engaged by sharing bi-monthly posts with you. Every few weeks, we’ll share tips about life in San Antonio, some advice about living in an apartment, and so much more!

To kick things off we’re sharing Yelp reviews from some of the local establishments near The Lila that we think you’ll enjoy. The area is home to a number of high-end and casual restaurants. So there’s something for every mood and occasion.

Apryl, we couldn’t have said it better ourselves. Big Hops is just around the corner from Vance Jackson apartments and is a neighborhood favorite. They carry an extensive beer menu. But don’t worry if you’re overwhelmed by the options. The bartenders here are super friendly and knowledgeable. They won’t steer you the wrong way!

Craving a steak, or looking for an upscale dining experience? If so, Myron’s Prime Steakhouse is our recommendation. Myron’s serves up some of the best steaks in the area and is just up the street from The Lila. Indulge in your favorite cut of steak and pair it with one of their classic side dishes. They’re also known for having Groupon specials available if you’re not trying to splurge.

These are only a few spots around Vance Jackson apartments that we think you will enjoy and Yelp reviewers love. And residents if you’re ever looking for a spot to eat just ask our friendly staff! They are experts on the area and more than happy to share their recommendations with you.
